Dora Red Owl
Dora Red Owl (Oglala Lakota) is a young painter residing in the Medicine Root District of South Dakota. Born in Minnehaha, SD, she has been passionate about the arts since childhood. Her paintings are deeply influenced by Oglala Sioux Lakota culture, with many pieces depicting the Lakota lessons she has learned throughout her life.
Dora is a senior at Little Wound High School, where she was nominated for and placed in the Gifted and Talented Program for visual and performing arts. She has won several contests and received recognition within her school and community for her passion and artistic skill. As a member of the Rez Roots Artist Collective, she continues to create, explore new media, and develop her artistic style.
