Maiki Ghost Bear

Maiki Ghost Bear (Z0MB1EMED1A) is a two-spirit/genderfluid mixed media artist. Maiki (He/She/They) is

Oglala Lakota and grew up in Pass Creek on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Maiki went to college and graduated

in 2022 with a degree in Graphic Design. They currently work as a freelance artist doing various

things, such as a teaching artist in their local community, creating graphic design

work, painting traditionally with various mediums, and photography. They describe

their work as “painterly-inspired illustrations,” that are usually made with graphite, ink, watercolor,

gouache, or digital designs. They are also inspired by neon/bright colors, monochromatic color

schemes, emotional expressions, poetry, and music.
